Sunshine, mocktails, and a whole lot of Walnut love : Nutfest 2025 was one for the books!

Every summer, the Walnut Unlimited team steps away from the day-to-day to come together for Nutfest. Our annual celebration of all things Walnut: people, creativity, collaboration, and a dash of healthy competition.
This year, we took over the beautiful grounds of Winchester Rugby Club, where the sun was shining, the energy was high, and the vibes were vibing.
We kicked things off with five-minute team presentations, each one packed with creativity, team spirit, and a whole lot of personality. From project wins and shoutouts to dance moves and awards, every presentation showcased the passion and talent that makes Walnut so special. Our people really are our superpower and it showed.
After a well-earned (and very delicious) lunch of pulled pork or chicken baps with all the summer trimmings, we headed into the marquee for the Insights Discovery mocktail challenge. A playful spin on our company-wide Insights Discovery training, where your personality traits help identify your ‘colour type’, giving you the tools to work to your strengths and communicate more effectively with people of all styles.
Each team crafted a mocktail inspired by the four Insights Discovery colour types: Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green, and Cool Blue, while also tying in our Walnut values: collaboration, respect, think beyond, and be inspiring. Cue tables full of syrups, spices, garnishes, and plenty of creativity as teams mixed their way to glory.
The winning creation? The Collaboratini. A zesty, Sunshine Yellow-inspired mocktail that perfectly captured the spirit of the day!
Of course, no Nutfest would be complete without some friendly competition. We hit the rugby field for a spirited game of rounders (yes, it got competitive!) before cooling off with a surprise visit from the ice cream van — just what we needed on a warm summer’s day.
We wrapped things up with our annual charity raffle, packed with amazing prizes like wine, candles, gift cards and more. All proceeds went to Sands, our Charity of the Year, who support families affected by baby loss. Learn more about their important work here: sands.org.uk.
